THQ has today announced that Big Beach Sports 2 will soon be kicking sand in everyone’s face exclusively on the Nintendo Wii. The sequel to the 2008 summer hit, Big Beach Sports 2 has five new outdoor games, including rugby, cricket, disk golf and football. Returning are the surfing, canoe, water rocket and dune buggy races in single-player mode as well as multiplayer head-to-head challenges with up to four players. If you’re the proud owner of a Wii Balance Board, you can use it to enjoy the full body surfing experience.
The game, which is currently being developed by Jet Black Games, takes place on the remote volcanic island of Moa Loa, where athletes from all over the world have gathered to compete in the Coconut Cup Championship, with the overall winner earning the ultimate accolade of King of the Beach.
Look for the game to be released sometime this summer.
