i think it was with animaniacs...but didnt they separated from the show so that pinky and the brain a longer show?

Yes, I totally remember Animaniacs. I loved them. One of the best cartoons of our time if you ask me.
And yes, Pinky and The Brain did get their start on Animaniacs, but later they became their own show. Neither of the shows ever really took off super well but nothing that a little youtube search, and DVD purchase can't fix. Narf.

Yes that show was what I watched as a child, along with Pinky and The Brain.
