Am I missing something?

Whenever I'm done playing the Wii, I press the On/Off button from my Wiimote, which turns of my Wii.

I then leave my Wiimote on the couch to go do some other stuff -- I come back and the battery life is dead.

As the title says, Am I missing something? Or does the battery life just really suck?

make sure its not sitting on the buttons, it will keep the remote on if it is. keep it on a flat surface sitting correctly

i leave my wii on standby and the remote seems just fine, so just check your remote to see if its lying on its button side like asdfnick said.

when i'm done with my wii i turn it off from the wiimote then take out the plug so theres no lihgt on the wii ......saving electricity!

if ur not on wiiconnect24 thats pretty useless - like 0.7 cents maybe

anyways it shouldnt train the wiimote that fast
